Being ostracized means being sent away from a group.
The Ostracism complex refers to a collection of Memories, perceptions, beliefs and feelings associated with being banished or excluded by a group.
This kind of complex triggers a Belonging Based shame.
Experiences including the genetically inherited ones from our ancestors are a part of this. In ancestral tribes, Being exiled was the main punitive tool used by authority or tribe leaders. For instance; Going against the authority, cultural norm or embarrassing a tribe Infront of other tribe would have you exiled if not killed. But exile meant death since being alone risked one meeting lions and not being able to go hunt.
This hence means that The fear of ostracism is one of the biggest existential threats ever known to the human mind.

• Being demoted pr losing a status.
• Being expelled from a school.

• Harsh voices such as ” Get out of here” that activates an ostracism complex.
